אהחודש הזה לכם ראש חדשים ראשון הוא לכם לחדשי השנה. שמעתי מאדוני אבי זקיני נ"ע זלה"ה שאמר פעם אחד בחודש ניסן להרב המגיד המפורסם מטורטשין [הוא הרב המגיד הגדול מוהרד"ב ז"ל ממעזריטש] עתה העת שצריכים להתפלל, כי באחד בניסן ראש השנה למלכים (ר"ה ד"ב ע"א) ואז מתמנים בו כל השרים והשלטונים שבעולם, ולעת עתה נתמנו שרים לא טובים, ועתה הוא עת להתפלל. עד כאן שמעתי מפיו הקדוש:
