Ba'al Shem Tov, Nitzavim 7/בעל שם טוב על התורה·
אבגמרא (יומא דפ"ו ע"ב) היכי דמי בעל תשובה כו' באותה שעה באותו פרק באותו מקום, שמעתי בשם ריב"ש ז"ל שהקשו במתיבתא דרקיע, הלא כשהלך לעבור עם אותה אשה עברה, הלך בחציפות ושחק עם האשה עד שבאו לידי עברה, ועכשיו כשבאו לעשות תשובה, והלך לאותו מקום שהאשה שם הולך בכפיפות ראש בצניעות, כדי למאוס ולשנוא את העברה, אם כן איך הוא תשובה גמורה, שאינו דומה לעשיית העברה, ותירצו במתיבתא דרקיע שבאמת התירו לו וכו':
