Ba'al Shem Tov, Vayeshev 8/בעל שם טוב על התורה·
אבמדרש (תנחומא סו"פ וישב) אמר ריב"ל בא וראה שלא כמדת הקדוש ברוך הוא מדת בשר ודם, מדת בשר ודם מכה באיזמל ומרפא ברטיה, והקדוש ברוך הוא במה שהוא מכה הוא מרפא כו', נודע דברי הבעל שם טוב ז"ל על הפסוק (ירמיה ל') ועת צרה הוא ליעקב וממנה יושע כי מן הדינים בעצמם צומח ישועה:
