1A PROVERB. In the ear.⁶⁸

בולשנינה. בפה מגזר' ושננתם:

2AND A BYWORD. In the mouth.⁶⁹ Sheninah (byword) is related to the word ve-shinnantam (and thou shalt teach them diligently) (Deut. 6:7).

גינהגך ה'. בעונך וקודם זה יבא עליך שנת רעב ואתה עודך בארצך:

3SHALL LEAD THEE. Because of your sins. However, before this, a year of hunger shall come upon you when you are still in your land.⁷⁰
