Ibn Ezra on Exodus 32:26/אבן עזרא על שמות ל״ב:כ״ו

אויעמד משה. ככה המנהג בכל מחנה שיעמוד במקום אחד כמו שנה לעשות סוכות ולהיות שערים למחנה, כי אין צורך לשום יד מחוץ למחנה:

1THEN MOSES STOOD. It is the practice of all camps that stay in one place for about a year¹²⁴ to erect booths and have gates.¹²⁵ In such a case, there is no need to set aside a place outside the camp as a latrine.¹²⁶

במי לד'. יגש אלי או יקרב, או יבא או יתאסף:

2WHOSO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE. Shall draw close to me; shall come near to me; shall come to me or shall gather to me.¹²⁷, which literally means whoso is on the Lord’s side to me. Hence the various interpretations.
