Ibn Ezra on Exodus 33:6/

1AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL STRIPPED THEMSELVES OF THEIR ORNAMENTS. Et edyam means of their ornaments.24 here has the meaning of min (from). I.E. comments thus because va-yitnatzelu (stripped themselves) is a reflexive verb. Therefore, if we do not translate et as min, our verse would read, and the children of Israel stripped themselves their ornaments. The reference is to their fine garments and ornaments such as rings worn on the ears and fingers. The word edyam is to be interpreted in light of va-edekh edi (I decked thee also with ornaments) (Ezek. 16:11).25 Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments because they mourned over the incident of the calf.
