Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 25:14/אבן עזרא על ויקרא כ״ה:י״ד
אאו קנה. שם הפעל ויחסר מקום קניתם קנה וכן זכור את יום השבת ורבים כמוהם:
1OR BUY. Kanoh (buy) is an infinitive.73 A word is missing.74 is employed as an auxiliary verb. Kanoh is in place of kenitem kano (you will surely buy).75 is short for kenitem kano. Compare, zakhor (remember) in Remember the sabbath day (Ex. 20:8).76 is an infinitive. It is short for zakhor tizkor. There are many such instances.77 The word timkeru (thou sell) is in the plural because it shall be sold in front of witnesses.78 The same is true of al tonu (ye shall not wrong).79 is in the plural. It is so because it applies to the buyer or seller and to the witnesses. One is not permitted to be a witness to a transaction in which the buyer or seller is cheated.
