Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 26:17/אבן עזרא על ויקרא כ״ו:י״ז
אונתתי פני. קצפי ואפי כמו ופניה לא היו לה והטעם כי הנשארים שאין להם חליים אם יצאו אל האויבים ינגפו לפניהם ופעם ינוסו ואין רודף כטעם מחנה ארם:
1AND I WILL SET MY FACE AGAINST YOU. My wrath and My anger.61 means My anger. Compare, and her countenance62 was no more (I Sam. 1:18).63 The meaning of our verse is that those that remain and are not stricken by disease will be smitten before their enemies, should they go out to fight them. At other times they will flee when no one pursues them as in the case of the Aramean camp.64
