Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 26:22/אבן עזרא על ויקרא כ״ו:כ״ב
אוהשלחתי בכם. מגזר׳ הנני משליח בך:
1AND I WILL SEND…AMONG YOU. Ve-hishlakhti (and I will send) is related to the word mashli’ach (send) in behold, I will send (Ex.8: 17).85
בושכלה אתכם. בהריגת קטנים:
2WHICH SHALL ROB YOU OF YOUR CHILDREN. By killing your little ones.
גוהמעיטה אתכם. בהריגת הגדולים:
3AND MAKE YOU FEW IN NUMBER. By the death of adults.
דונשמו דרכיכם. כי אין דרך בטוח מפחד החיות שאינם ברשות אדם כאשר פירשתי:
4AND YOUR WAYS SHALL BECOME DESOLATE. For there will be no way that will be secure from the fear of wild animals.86 I have previously explained this.87
