Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 26:25/אבן עזרא על ויקרא כ״ו:כ״ה
אנקם ברית. על כן אמרתי כי זאת הברית הכרותה בסיני הכתובה בפרשת אלה המשפטי׳ יום קבלו על נפשם ואמרו נעשה ונשמע אז נכרתה הברי׳ ואמר. להם כל הפרשה הזאת:
1THE VENGEANCE OF THE COVENANT. Our verse mentions the covenant.90 On the basis of this I earlier said91 that our Torah portion contains the covenant referred to in the Torah reading Now these are the ordinances (Ex. 21:1). The covenant was made on the day Israel promised [All that the Lord hath spoken ] will we do, and obey (Ex. 24:7). The covenant was then made and Moses told them this portion.92
בונאספתם אל עריכם. מפני החרב ושם אשלח הדבר והרעב עד שתרצו להנתן ביד האויב וזה טעם ונתתם ביד אויב והיא מלה מבנין נפעל:
2AND YE SHALL BE GATHERED TOGETHER WITHIN YOUR CITIES. Because of the sword.93. There I will send the pestilence and the famine. The pestilence and the famine will cause you to desire to be delivered into the hand of the enemy. This is the meaning of and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. Ve-nittattem (and ye shall be delivered) is a nifal.
