Ibn Ezra on Numbers 20:14/אבן עזרא על במדבר כ׳:י״ד

אמקדש. שם מקום עיר ואיננו קדש ברנע כי אותו הוא מדבר וכן הכתוב אומר יחיל ה' מדבר קדש:

1FROM KADESH. Kadesh is the name of a place where a city is located. It is not to be identified with Kadesh-barnea,⁶⁶ for the latter was a wilderness.⁶⁷ Thus Scripture reads, The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh (Ps. 29:8).⁶⁸
