Kohelet Rabbah 6:4/קוהלת רבה ו׳:ד׳
אכִּי בַהֶבֶל בָּא, בְּלֹא נֵר וּבְלֹא מֶרְחָץ. אֶלָּא בְּלֹא תוֹרָה וּבְלֹא מַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים.
1“For he comes in vanity, and departs in darkness, and in darkness his name is covered” (Ecclesiastes 6:4).“For he comes in vanity, [and departs in darkness]” – is he without a lamp and without bathing? Rather, he is without Torah and without good deeds.11).
