Sifrei Devarim 57/ספרי דברים נ״ז
א(דברים יא לא) כִּי אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן, מֵעֲבִירַתְכֶם אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן אַתֶּם יוֹדְעִים שֶׁאַתֶּם יוֹרְשִׁים אֶת הָאָרֶץ.
1Pisqa’ 57161. “When you cross the Jordan to inherit the Land” (Dt. 11:31)—from your crossing the Jordan,you should know that you shall inherit the Land.
באֲשֶׁר ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶם – בִּזְכוּתְכֶם.
2“Which HASHEM your God is giving you” (Dt. 11:31)—because you deserve it.
גוִירִשְׁתֶּם אוֹתָהּ וִישַׁבְתֶּם בָּהּ – בִּשְׂכַר שֶׁתִּירַשׁ תֵּשֵׁב.
3“And you shall inherit it, and settle within it” (Dt. 11:31)—the reward for inheriting itis the capacity to settle it.17
