Ibn Ezra on Exodus 12:48/אבן עזרא על שמות י״ב:מ״ח

אוכי יגור אתך גר. טעם אתך בארץ מצרים:

1AND WHEN A STRANGER SHALL SOJOURN WITH THEE. The meaning of with thee is, with thee in the land of Egypt.⁵¹⁵

בוטעם ועשה פסח, והוא רוצה לעשות הפסח ימול בתחלה:

2[AND WILL KEEP THE PASSOVER.] Its meaning is, and he wants to keep the Passover. Then let him first be circumcised.

גוטעם וכל ערל לא יאכל בו, על ישראל שלא נמולו, כמו הילודים במדבר בדרך:

3[BUT NO UNCIRCUMCISED PERSON SHALL EAT THERE-OF.] The reference is to uncircumcised Israelites⁵¹⁶ such as those born on the way in the wilderness.⁵¹⁷
