אודבר ד' אל משה פנים אל פנים. בפרשה הסמוכה אפרשנו:

בומשרתו יהושע בן נון נער. והוא חיה מאה ועשר שנים, וחכמים אמרו כי שבע שנים כבש, ושבע שנים חלק, א"כ היה בן חמשים ושש שנה ואיך קראו הכתוב נער? וככה דקדוקו ומשרתו יהושע בן נון שירות נער:
2BUT HIS MINISTER JOSHUA, THE SON OF NUN, A YOUNG MAN. Joshua lived a hundred and ten years.38 Our sages said that Joshua spent seven years conquering Canaan and seven years dividing it up.39 118b. If this is the case, then Joshua was now fifty-six years old.40 Why then did Scripture call him a young man? This is its grammatical explanation. His minister Joshua, the son of Nun, performed the service of a young man.41 is to be inserted before the word na’ar.
