אופני לא יראו. הם הנראים ולא כן ולא יראו פני ריקם (למטה לד כ) כי הזכרים הם הנראים:
1BUT MY FACE SHALL NOT BE SEEN. Yera’u (shall be seen) refers to My face. However, this is not the Case with yera’u (shall be seen) in they204 refers to the males making the festival pilgrimage. shall not be seen before My face empty (Ex. 34:20),205 (they shall not be seen before My face empty) should not be translated as My face shall not be seen empty. for shall be seen here refers to the males.206
