אהנני ממטיר. ידוע כי לא ירד גם היום על מצרים ברד ומטר, ואין צורך לפרש למה זה וככה במקומות אחרים עד היום, ובעבור זה פחדו פחד גדול, כי לא ירד שם אלא כדמות טל:
1I WILL CAUSE IT TO RAIN. It is well known that even today neither rain nor hail comes down upon the land of Egypt. There is no need to explain why this is so.72 The same is still true of many other places. It was because of this that the Egyptians were greatly afraid, for with the exception of something resembling dew, nothing73 rains down there.
