אאפילות. תאר וקרוב ממנו, ואפל ואין נוגה לו (עמוס ה כ) והטעם שהיו עוד תחת הארץ ולא נראו:
1THEY RIPEN LATE. Afilot (ripen late) is an adjective. The word afel (darkness), as in, darkness, and not light, is close in meaning to it. It means that they were beneath the earth116 and unseen.
