Ibn Ezra on Exodus 9:4/אבן עזרא על שמות ט׳:ד׳
אוהפלה. דָבָר. יאמר על ענין דברים מחוברים כמו הדבר אשר דבר ד' (ירמי' מו יג), גם יאמר על יש כמו זה וכמוהו לא חסרת דבר (דבר' ב ז):
1AND THE LORD SHALL MAKE A DIVISION…NOTHING. The word davar (nothing)29 is used in reference to many words joined together, as in ha-davar (the word)30, as in eleh ha-devarim (these are the words) (Deut. 1:1). Thus I.E. explains that davar can refer to many words. in The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremiah (Jer. 46:13). It is also used in reference to a thing, as in our verse. Davar in thou hast not lacked a thing is similar (Deut. 2:7).
