אמואב. כמו מאב,
1MOAB. Moab is the same as me-av and means from a father.
בוטעם עד היום, שלא התערב עמם גוי זר, או זה הדבר ידוע עד היום:
2[UNTO THIS DAY.] No other people were intermingled with them.56 Unto this day may also signify that the incestuous origin of the Moabites is known to this day.57
