Or HaChaim on Genesis 8:5/אור החיים על בראשית ח׳:ה׳
אוְהַמַּיִם הָיוּ הָלוֹךְ וְחָסוֹר. פֵּרוּשׁ: חֵלֶק מֵהֶם הָלוֹךְ וְחֵלֶק מֵהֶם חָסוֹר עַד וְגוֹ׳, וְעַיֵּן מַה שֶׁכָּתַבְתִּי בַּפָּסוּק שֶׁלִּפְנֵי זֶה.
1 והמים הלוך וחסור. The waters kept ebbing away. Part of the water retreated whereas part still flooded the earth until the tenth month.
