Psalms 61/תהילים ס״א

אלַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀עַֽל־נְגִינַ֬ת לְדָוִֽד׃

1For the leader; with instrumental music. Of David.

בשִׁמְעָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים רִנָּתִ֑י הַ֝קְשִׁ֗יבָה תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃

2Hear my cry, O God,heed my prayer.

גמִקְצֵ֤ה הָאָ֨רֶץ׀ אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֶ֭קְרָא בַּעֲטֹ֣ף לִבִּ֑י בְּצוּר־יָר֖וּם מִמֶּ֣נִּי תַנְחֵֽנִי׃

3From the end of the earth I call to You;when my heart is faint,You lead me to a rock that is high above me.

דכִּֽי־הָיִ֣יתָ מַחְסֶ֣ה לִ֑י מִגְדַּל־עֹ֝֗ז מִפְּנֵ֥י אוֹיֵֽב׃

4For You have been my refuge,a tower of strength against the enemy.

האָג֣וּרָה בְ֭אׇהׇלְךָ עוֹלָמִ֑ים אֶ֥חֱסֶ֨ה בְסֵ֖תֶר כְּנָפֶ֣יךָ סֶּֽלָה׃

5O that I might dwell in Your tent forever,take refuge under Your protecting wings. Selah.

וכִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים שָׁמַ֣עְתָּ לִנְדָרָ֑י נָתַ֥תָּ יְ֝רֻשַּׁ֗ת יִרְאֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃

6O God, You have heard my vows;grant the request^a as an alternate form of ʼrsht; cf. Ps. 21.3. of those who fear Your name.

זיָמִ֣ים עַל־יְמֵי־מֶ֣לֶךְ תּוֹסִ֑יף שְׁ֝נוֹתָ֗יו כְּמוֹ־דֹ֥ר וָדֹֽר׃

7Add days to the days of the king;may his years extend through generations;

חיֵשֵׁ֣ב ע֭וֹלָם לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים חֶ֥סֶד וֶ֝אֱמֶ֗ת מַ֣ן יִנְצְרֻֽהוּ׃

8may he dwell in God’s presence forever;appoint^b steadfast love to guard him.

טכֵּ֤ן אֲזַמְּרָ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֣ לָעַ֑ד לְֽשַׁלְּמִ֥י נְ֝דָרַ֗י י֣וֹם׀יֽוֹם׃

9So I will sing hymns to Your name forever,as I fulfill my vows day after day.
