אא. עִיר שֶׁיֵּשׁ בָּהּ קַבָּלַת שֹׁחַד, חֲיָלוֹת בָּאִין עָלֶיהָ.
1A city in which the people take bribes will be set upon by invading armies.
בב. עַל־יְדֵי שֹׁחַד גְּדֻלָּתוֹ מִסְתַּלֶּקֶת.
2Bribery causes a person’s prominence to disappear.
גג. עַל־יְדֵי שֹׁחַד בָּא שְׂרֵפָה.
3Bribery leads to an outbreak of fires.
