Sforno on Genesis 7:2/ספורנו על בראשית ז׳:ב׳
אהַטְּהוֹרָה. שֶׁהָיוּ אָז כֻּלָּם כְּשֵׁרִים לְהַקְרָבָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁהִזְכִּירוּ רַבּוֹתֵינוּ זִכְרוֹנָם לִבְרָכָה, וּכְמוֹ כֵן בִּסְגֻלַּת מְזוֹנָהּ עַל הֵפֶךְ "וְנִטְמֵתֶם בָּם".
1הטהורה, at that time all of the pure animals [including free roaming ones] were acceptable as potential offerings to G’d.
