Sifrei Devarim 327/ספרי דברים שכ״ז
א(דברים לב לז) וְאָמַר אֵי אֱלֹהֵימוֹ, רַבִּי יְהוּדָה דּוֹרְשׁוֹ כְּלַפֵּי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְרַבִּי נְחֶמְיָה דּוֹרְשׁוֹ כְּלַפֵּי אֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם.
1Pisqa’ 3271711. “Then He will say: where are their gods?” (Dt. 32:37)—R. Judah applies this verse in relation to Israel,but R. Nehemiah applies it in relation to the nations of the world.
ברַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: עֲתִידִים יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁאוֹמְרִים לָהֶם לְאֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם: הֵיכָן הַפִּיטָקִים וְהֶגְמוֹנִים שֶׁלָּכֶם?
2R. Judah says:In the future, Israel is destined toask the nations of the world:What happened to your Consuls and Generals?172 317.4.
