Terms of Use
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms apply when you use bereishes.com or the Bereishes connector in an AI app. If you use Bereishes, you agree to them.
The service
Bereishes is free. It gives you classical Jewish texts and an AI assistant that answers with sources. We can change, limit, or stop any part of it at any time.
AI answers are not rulings
The assistant can make mistakes: it can misread a source, leave out a view, or cite the wrong place. Always check the linked sources. Nothing on Bereishes is a halachic ruling or professional advice. For a practical question, ask a rabbi.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Bereishes to break the law or to harm others.
- Do not overload the service, get around rate limits, or copy the library in bulk with scripts or crawlers.
- Do not try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours.
Texts and content
Many texts come from Sefaria and other sources, each under its own license. Where a text shows a license, that license applies. You own the questions you ask. You can use the answers for your own study and teaching.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend accounts that break these terms.
No warranty
Bereishes is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using it.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions: [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
