Ibn Ezra on Exodus 1:22/

1AND PHARAOH CHARGED. All who occupy the throne of Egypt are called Pharaoh in the Egyptian language.195 Scripture does not relate the name of this Pharaoh as it does in the case of Pharaoh-neco (Jer. 46:2) who was so called in the tongue of his people.196 in Egyptian. I.E. comments thus so that we should not think that neco is a Hebrew adjective modifying Pharaoh, i.e., that Pharaoh-neco means Pharaoh the lame. Cf. I.E.’s comments on Gen. 41:10 and the notes thereto. The same is the case with Pharaoh Hophra (Jer. 44:30).197 a personal name. It is similar to King Hophra.
2THAT IS BORN. Ha-yillod (that is born) is an adjective. It is like gibbor (warrior) and shikkor (drunk).
