אבראשון. אחז דרך קצרה, בעבור שהזכיר בתחלה, ראשון הוא לכם (פ' ב), והנה טעם בחדש הראשון, וכמוהו בעשירי באחד לחדש (ברא' ה):

1IN THE FIRST. Scripture uses an abridged form since it had already stated, it shall be the first month of the year to you (v. 2). The meaning of in the first thus is, in the first month. In the tenth, on the first day of the month (Gen. 8:5)³⁴⁹ is similar.³⁵⁰ is short for: in the tenth month.
