Ibn Ezra on Exodus 3:5/
1AND HE SAID: DRAW NOT NIGH HITHER. Its meaning is, stand in your place and draw not nigh to the bush where the fire is.50 (draw not nigh hither). I.E. explains that the word halom means hither. Is there yet a man come hither? (I Sam. 10:22) is similar.51 (is there yet a man come hither). Here too halom means hither. A nun is missing in the word shal (put off), as it is in the word ga (touch),52 is nun, shin, lamed. In the kal imperative the nun is dropped. Similarly in the word ga, which comes from the root nun, gimel, ayin. for the word shal comes from the same root as ve-nashal (and shall cast out) in and shall cast out many nations (Deut. 7:1).
