Ibn Ezra on Genesis 27:29/אבן עזרא על בראשית כ״ז:כ״ט

אלאחיך. בני הפילגשים:
1THY BRETHREN. The children of the concubines.44
בבני אמך. עשו ובניו:
2THY MOTHER’S SONS. Esau and his children.
גאורריך ארור. כל אחד מאורריך וכן "וצדיקים ככפיר יבטח" (משלי כח א) ורבים ככה, וכן ומברכיך:
3CURSED BE EVERYONE THAT CURSETH THEE. Each one of those that will curse you.45) is a plural, is cursed (arur) is a singular. Hence, I.E.’s explanation that a plural followed by a singular means each one of the plural (Weiser). But the righteous are secure as a young lion (Prov. 28:1)46 is in the plural; will be secure is in the singular. The verse literally reads: And righteous people he will be secure as a young lion. I.E. interprets this: each one of the righteous will be as secure as a young lion. is similar. There are many other analogous expressions in Scripture. And blessed be everyone that blesseth thee is also similar.47, a plural) is blessed (barukh, a singular). It means each one of those who blesses you will be blessed.
