אויצו אותם. שילכו כולם עם יוסף לקברו:
1AND HE CHARGED THEM. He (Jacob) charged that all should go along with Joseph to bury him.197 refers to bury me with my fathers. In the text they are not directly connected, hence I.E.’s comment. Krinsky points out that Jacob had made Joseph take an oath to bury him in the cave of Machpelah (Gen. 47:30). He now commanded all of his sons to join Joseph in his burial. Therefore, according to Krinsky, I.E. notes that the charge in our verse was to all of Jacob’s sons.
