Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 14:7/אבן עזרא על ויקרא י״ד:ז׳

אוהזה. מהדם המעורב אחר טבול גם הצפור החיה והנזכרים:

1AND HE SHALL SPRINKLE. From the blood mixed with water after immersing the living bird and the other items mentioned.²⁶

בעל פני השדה. מקום שאין שם יישוב שלא תדבק הצרעת. וההזיה בשלשתן או באזוב לבדו כטומאת המת:

2INTO THE OPEN FIELD. An uninhabited place so that the leprosy does not infect anyone. The sprinkling was done with all three.²⁷ On the other hand, it might only have been done with the hyssop as in the case of one who has been made unclean by a corpse.²⁸
