אזקני העדה. הם המנהיגים והם יסמכו את ידיהם בעדם ובעד כל ישראל כי לא יתכן שיסמכו כל ישראל:
1AND THE ELDERS OF THE CONGREGATION. The elders are the leaders. They will lay their hands27 on their behalf and on behalf of all of Israel, for it is impossible for all of Israel to place their hands.28
