Psalms 20/תהילים כ׳

אלַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃

1For the leader. A psalm of David.

ביַֽעַנְךָ֣ יְ֭הֹוָה בְּי֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה יְ֝שַׂגֶּבְךָ֗ שֵׁ֤ם׀ אֱלֹהֵ֬י יַעֲקֹֽב׃

2May GOD answer you in time of trouble,the name of Jacob’s God keep you safe—

גיִשְׁלַֽח־עֶזְרְךָ֥ מִקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וּ֝מִצִּיּ֗וֹן יִסְעָדֶֽךָּ׃

3sending you help from the sanctuary,and sustaining you from Zion.

דיִזְכֹּ֥ר כׇּל־מִנְחֹתֶ֑ךָ וְעוֹלָתְךָ֖ יְדַשְּׁנֶ֣ה סֶֽלָה׃

4May [God] receive the tokens^a, “token portion” of grain offering; Lev. 2.2, 9, 16, etc. of all your grain offerings,and approve^b your burnt offerings. Selah.

היִֽתֶּן־לְךָ֥ כִלְבָבֶ֑ךָ וְֽכׇל־עֲצָתְךָ֥ יְמַלֵּֽא׃

5May your desire be granted,your every plan fulfilled.

ונְרַנְּנָ֤ה׀ בִּ֘ישׁ֤וּעָתֶ֗ךָ וּבְשֵֽׁם־אֱלֹהֵ֥ינוּ נִדְגֹּ֑ל יְמַלֵּ֥א יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה כׇּל־מִשְׁאֲלוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

6May we shout for joy in your victory,arrayed by standards in the name of our God.May GOD fulfill your every wish.

זעַתָּ֤ה יָדַ֗עְתִּי כִּ֤י הוֹשִׁ֥יעַ׀יְהֹוָ֗ה מְשִׁ֫יח֥וֹ יַ֭עֲנֵהוּ מִשְּׁמֵ֣י קׇדְשׁ֑וֹ בִּ֝גְבֻר֗וֹת יֵ֣שַׁע יְמִינֽוֹ׃

7Now I know that GOD will give victory to our anointed one,will answer him from the heavenly sanctuarywith the mighty victories of God’s right arm.

חאֵ֣לֶּה בָ֭רֶכֶב וְאֵ֣לֶּה בַסּוּסִ֑ים וַאֲנַ֓חְנוּ׀ בְּשֵׁם־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣ינוּ נַזְכִּֽיר׃

8They [call] on chariots, they [call] on horses,but we call on the name of the ETERNAL our God.

טהֵ֭מָּה כָּרְע֣וּ וְנָפָ֑לוּ וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ קַּ֝֗מְנוּ וַנִּתְעוֹדָֽד׃

9They collapse and lie fallen,but we rally and gather strength.

ייְהֹוָ֥ה הוֹשִׁ֑יעָה הַ֝מֶּ֗לֶךְ יַעֲנֵ֥נוּ בְיוֹם־קׇרְאֵֽנוּ׃

10O ETERNAL One, grant victory to the king;may [God] answer us when we call.^c
