Sforno on Genesis 35:22/ספורנו על בראשית ל״ה:כ״ב
אוַיִּשְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי יַעֲקֹב שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁשָּׁמַע, לֹא הִפִּילוֹ מִמִּנְיַן בָּנָיו, כִּי לֹא הָיָה סָפֵק אֶצְלוֹ שֶׁעָשָׂה תְּשׁוּבָה לְאַלְתַּר, וְלֹא נֶעְדַּר מִמִּנְיַן בְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב הָעֲתִידִים לְהִתְקַיֵּם בְּעָקֵב וּבְסוֹף כָּל הָאוּמּוֹת.
1And Yisrael heard. Nevertheless, he did not cease to count Reuvein among his sons because he had no doubt that he repented immediately.
