Ibn Ezra on Exodus 16:29/אבן עזרא על שמות ט״ז:כ״ט

אראו. הטעם ראו זה המופת שיתן לכם השם, שיתברר לכם, כי הוא צוה שתשבתו כאשר שבת במעשה בראשית על כן הוא נותן שירד המן היום כפלים ממנהגו בכל יום:

1SEE. Its meaning is: see the wonder that the Lord will perform for you so that it shall become clear to you that God commanded you to rest as He rested when He made all things in the beginning. God is therefore permitting twice as much manna to come down today as normally comes down every day.

בשבו איש תחתיו. באהלו:

2ABIDE YE EVERY MAN IN HIS PLACE. In one’s tent.

גופי' אל יצא איש ממקומו ללקוט המן כאשר עשו אנשים שיצאו ללקוט:

3[LET NO MAN GO OUT OF HIS PLACE.] It meaning is: let no man go out of his place on the seventh day to gather manna as the men who went out to gather did.¹⁵⁷
