Ibn Ezra on Exodus 3:9/אבן עזרא על שמות ג׳:ט׳
אועתה הנה. טעם הנה צעקת בני ישראל שעשו תשובה:
1AND NOW, BEHOLD. Its meaning is: And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel who have repented83 is come unto Me.
בוטעם וגם ראיתי את הלחץ שהזידו עליהם, וככה אמר תרי "כי בדבר אשר זדו עליהם" (למטה יח יא):
2[MOREOVER I HAVE SEEN THE OPPRESSION.] Its meaning is: Moreover I have seen the oppression with which they in their pride oppress them. Jethro similarly said, for that they dealt proudly against them (Ex. 18:11).
