אותולעת שני. בלא מ"ם, ויש במ"ם, אם יהיו חטאיכם כשנים (ישעי' א יח) אולי לשון רבים הם:

1AND SCARLET. The word shani (scarlet) is here spelled without a mem. We also find it spelled with a mem. Compare shanim (scarlet) in Though your sins be as scarlet (Is. 1:18). Perhaps the latter is a plural.²⁶. According to this interpretation, shani is the singular form for scarlet and shanim is its plural form.
