1AND ASKETH THEE SAYING. U-she’elekha34 in the third person has the suffix kha added to it, the second root letter is usually vocalized with a kamatz, hence I.E.’s comment. (and asketh thee) is vocalized the same as ahevekha (he loveth thee).35 rather than with a kamatz beneath the second root letter (the heh).
