Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 18:9/
1BORN AT HOME. Who was born in accordance with the laws of the house of Israel following the first and second stage of marriage.32 and nusu’in. During the first stage the bride still lives with her parents. In the second step she moves into her husbands house. Today the two stages are combined.
2BORN ABROAD. Unconventionally.33 Some say that born at home is similar to were born upon Joseph’s knees (Gen. 50:23).34 means were brought up in Joseph’s house. It means she grew up with you in the same house. It is possible that born abroad means she is in a different place and a different city and grew up away from you, outside of your father’s house. Scripture next mentions thy son’s daughter (v. 10).35
