Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 18:7/אבן עזרא על ויקרא י״ח:ז׳
אערות אביך. והחל מהאב שהוא קודם הבן ואמר שאסור הוא כל מי שהיא ערות אב ואם והנה היא האם בראש ואחר כך ערות אשת אב ואיננה אם ואחר כך האחות שהיא בת אביו או בת אם:
1THE NAKEDNESS OF THY FATHER. Scripture begins28 with the father, who precedes the son.29 Scripture states that anyone who is closely related to his father or mother30 is prohibited. Note, the nakedness of the mother is the one that is mentioned first.31 The nakedness of the father’s wife, who is not the mother, follows. Then comes the sister, who is the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.
