Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 19:30/

1[YE SHALL KEEP MY SABBATHS.] Scripture now says, Ye shall keep My sabbaths, because it earlier164 dealt with the dead, for there is no mourning on the Sabbath.
2And reverence My sanctuary is to be understood as referring to the kohen gadol; he shall not act as other mourners do.165 is not to observe mourning customs. See Lev. 21:10-12. There is a similar prohibition upon all the people of the sanctuary.166 applies to all those who serve in the sanctuary.
3The meaning of I am the Lord is, God will punish you if you do not revere the sanctuary and respect it. Scripture similarly next mentions the ghosts and the familiar spirits (v. 31) because of the dead.167 It similarly writes in Isaiah on behalf of the living unto the dead (Is. 8:19).168; i.e., instead of seeking ghosts and familiar spirits and the dead concerning the welfare and future of the living, a people should inquire of God.
