Ibn Ezra on Numbers 10:6/אבן עזרא על במדבר י׳:ו׳
אתרועה שנית. שיסע דגל ראובן ולא יתקעו עוד כי הקהתים ועמם הכהנים התוקעים נוסעים קודם דגל אפרים:
1AN ALARM THE SECOND TIME. So that the standard of Reuben will take up its journey. They did not blow the trumpets again,14 for the family of Kohath and with them the kohanim who blew the trumpets journeyed before the standard of Ephraim.15 journeyed between the standard of Reuben and the standard of Ephraim. Thus when it came time for Ephraim to journey, the kohanim had already journeyed and were not in a position to sound the trumpets.
בתרועה יתקעו. הכהנים למסעיהם כי אחר דגל ראובן נוסעים:
2THEY SHALL BLOW AN ALARM FOR THEIR JOURNEYS. The kohanim shall blow an alarm for their journeys, for they journeyed after the standard of Reuben.16
