אוּמִקְצֵה אֶחָיו לָקַח. כְּדֵי שֶׁיָּבִין פַּרְעֹה מִדִּבְרֵיהֶם וּמֵעִנְיָנָם שֶׁהֵם בַּעֲלֵי מְלֶאכֶת מִרְעֵה הַצֹּאן בִּלְבַד.
1ומקצה אחיו לקח, in order that Pharaoh would understand through conversing with them that their vocation was that they were shepherds, raisers of flocks and cattle.
