Ibn Ezra on Exodus 18:6/אבן עזרא על שמות י״ח:ו׳
אויאמר. וכבר אמר אל משה לפני בואם על ידי שליח או באגרת כתובה אני חותנך יתרו, ואשתך שהיא העיקר, ושני בניה הבאים עמה:
1AND HE SAID UNTO MOSES. He had already said92 (and he said) is a pluperfect. unto Moses prior to his coming,93 via an agent94 or by a written message: I thy father-in-law Jethro am coming unto thee, and also thy wife, who is uppermost in importance, and her two sons who are coming with her.
